Museo Nacional de la Máscara

The museo de la mascara is a comtemporary museum located in downtown San Luis Potosi. It displays various objects, such as masks, related to dance, art and other items of culture that were used in the past. The museum has six rooms with permanent exhibitions and one room for temporary exhibitions.

I went to this museum last week and I love going to museums so it was a great experience where I learned more about art and traditions of the past. In the main room we saw many different mask which were incredibly amazing, they told me that the masks represent many traditions, important people and many cultural Mexican symbols.

Then we went to some others rooms where they showed us some important rooms of the family which used to live in the house. In my opinion those rooms were very interesting because of their cultural value and the traditions they used to have in the past. There was one room which got all of my interest because it was a men room where women weren’t allowed to go, men used to smoke there and make deals with important people.
